Heirloom
We redesign the jewel passed from mother to daughter while preserving its story.
Heirloom is less a collection than a service. An old ring in the cupboard, a broken necklace or an outdated set is turned into a contemporary design while its stones and gold are preserved.
The process consists of photographing and weighing the old piece, reassessing the stones in the laboratory and the sketch stage. If you wish, part of the gold goes into the new piece and part is credited to your account at its value. During the work no stone is removed without your approval.
- Written assessment and weighing first
- Transfer of the old stone to the new setting
- A photo archive of the original piece
In the process the weighing and analysis of the old piece are given in writing; no work starts until the new design is approved. The typical duration is three to five weeks.
